I’m pretty alright I guess, as long as nobody messes with me. I hate when people get too touchy, feely, hug me and I will rip your arms off. Still, if you somehow manage to earn my trust, you’ve got it forever.
Digging my fingers into the dirt I pulled myself up the last couple of inches to the top of the hill. Panting, I raised my head and saw the little town in the distance.
Weird, I thought. I didn’t see it on the map.
I don’t care though. I’m tired, hungry, and I got the shit beaten out of me at the last place. Things couldn’t possibly get any worse. To be on the safe side though…
I curl myself into a ball and send out an astral projection of myself. It’s not really all that different from being me, people don’t notice me like they usually do, only in this case it’s because I’m on a different plane of existence. I guess I’m a ghost. I might as well be dead.
Whatever, I’ve seen that dimension and it’s not that bad anyway.
I walk around as a shadow, seeing nothing dangerous. A dog barks at me, but I ignore it. Animals are the only ones to see through this thing. Back on the hill my body sleeps curled behind the bush, but it’s getting cold.
Reluctantly, I go back to my stupid human form and debate with myself. Going? Running? Staying? Leaving?
God I hope I don’t regret this, I think, as I stumble down the hillside.
I look up and see a sign identifying this place.
Great! Everyone follow! I’ll add you to the master list. <3 ~Holly

Character Name: Magena Strauss
Superhero Name: Shield
Major Power and Minor Power: Force-Field Generation — Levitation
Face Claim: Julia Jones
Unaccompanied or Accompanied: Unaccompanied
Solo, Hero, Sidekick: Hero
Character Personality and Traits (5-20 sentences, first person): “Hey there, I’m Magena. I guess you could say that I’m classified as a hero here at HTA. Unlike most, I feel uncomfortable using my powers without a legitimate reason to. I can be a bitch at times, but that’s only if you make me upset or really angry. Yeah, I have temperamental issues. I’d say deal with it, but most of you probably won’t. Don’t let what you hear from others halt you from coming up to me and starting a conversation, though. I’m actually a very sociable person… to some degree, of course.”
Writing Sample (2-5 paragraphs, first or third person, in character): A sigh escaped Magena’s lips as she walked up and down the hallways of HTA. She had no set destination, being that classes for the day were over with and she didn’t have any homework to complete for the next day. Magena was happy about that, figuring that she would have more time to practice her powers instead of studying for various subjects, such as math, that she wouldn’t need for the future. Of course, that’s her own opinion. Most of the teachers would probably think otherwise. Her pace was slow and steady. If someone were to walk by and notice her, they probably would have thought that she had some devious plan in mind, with her face showing no expression.
Walking around the corner, Magena cocked her head to the side as her face lit up with interest. Hanging on one of the walls of the school were various pictures of the superheroes and villains that were brought up in Fayville. Her eyes held on to each of the pictures, examining them all one by one. She was very fond of all of them, admiring their strength, intelligence, and tactics, one day hoping she could amount up to them and make a name for herself some day. Magena suddenly stopped walking and stepped closer to the glass case where the pictures were being held. “Bruce Wayne,” she began. “Batman.” She nodded to herself as a smile formed upon her face, taking note of the infamous black masked and caped crusader, beginning to walk once again.
